The quartet was formed by four enthusiastic and naturally gifted musicians of varied musical backgrounds (classical, folk and jazz), brought togehther by their shared passion for tango music, both traditional as contemporary. The repertoire, consisting exclusively of own arrangements, forms an outstanding blend of musical gems. Romanticism, passion, earthly desire and intense melancholy form the key ingredients to this hot-blooded melange, resulting in intimate, open-hearted and passionate musicmaking. Onno de Weerd (guitar), Jaap Cohen (bass), David Peijnenborgh (violin) and Werner Janssen (clarinet). Optional with singer and tango dancer Koen Schoonus.
